Watercolour artist Stephen Ward paints the historic towns and cities, and the inspiring, ever-changing landscapes which surround him in County Durham - the Land of the Prince Bishops. His work couples the old fashioned virtue of strong draughtsmanship with an instinctive feel for light and colour, and it is these qualities which enable him to produce detailed, vibrant watercolour paintings.

Stephen's work is highly regarded and has been presented to best selling author Bill Bryson, and to a former Prime Minister. He has exhibited at the Royal Cambrian Academy Summer Show and has undertaken commissioned work for HM The Queen's Lord Lieutenant (T&W) and for the TUC as well as working on numerous commissions for private clients.
